TAKE ACTION: SIGN-ON TO TAX FAIRNESS LETTER BY 2/4
Join HIPHI and nearly 15 other organizations in a sign-on to a letter asking state legislators to support tax fairness proposals! Even if these are not normally areas you work in, we are at a kākou moment where it is necessary for us to come together in solidarity and support of our government workers, state programs, and critical services that are currently facing budget cuts and furloughs.
Nearly 3,000 bills were introduced this session, so to make it easier we have created an online bill tracker for you. Click on the “Oral Health” tab at the bottom to see bills that may be of interest to the coalition. It is also available on our HIPHI policy page.
There are also several bills on smoke-free multi-unit housing and a sugar-sweetened beverage fee in the CTFH and OPTF tabs, respectively. You may contact Jaylen@hiphi.org for more information.
